Ric Hyde            Erotic Paintings / erotic art
Ric Hyde was born in Lewisham, London in 1936. At the age of 13 he studied at The Camberwell School of Arts.

After completing military service in Germany, he spent two years at the Slade School of Fine Art. Then after a spell in Lowestoft, working as a trawler man he moved to Dartmoor to paint. Soon returning to London to work on his first exhibition at the Bramanti Gallery, St James.

He now lives and works in North Cornwall. His work is carried out with a rare expertise and his influences (listed below) are often discernable. These works below explore themes of eroticism and are erotic paintings of elegance and traditional style. The artist is also conscious of the implicit erotic nature that can be found very slightly beneath the surface of many of the great masters. In many cases from Titian to Cranach, this erotic nature is overt.
