‘Made in China’

A project about the country where I was born. Hong Kong is a city that is constantly transforming, a city that seems like a tangled web of contradictions in a chaotic realm of diversity. Bursting at the seams, Hong Kong is now seeing an influx of ‘mainlanders’ drawn towards better welfare provisions and a better ‘quality of life’: the ever marketable commodity. And China is spreading globally, with slow whispers of lessons in Mandarin echoing round the corridors of the world’s business centres.  Hong Kong remains at the pivotal point where East meets West, but China is now clamouring for such attention.
