Stone Carving Courses

Alexia ART's stone carving courses are tutored by expert stone carver, Stephen Fox.

Residing between Normandy and Oxfordshire, Stephen's stone carving genius has won him both local and international success.

Stephen has taught stone carving since the early 90s. His calm, dynamic approach enables students, from beginner to advanced, to select their own stylistic preference between abstract & figurative whilst safely learning vital stone carving skills and techniques.

His fully equipped workshop, with outdoor facilities, nestles beside a charming little brook which runs through The Studio stone carving complex.

Our 2-3 day stone carving courses operate en plein air during Spring and Summer only.

The stone carving course day runs from 10.00-16.00 with an hour off to enjoy relaxed two course lunches in The Studio or tranquil gardens.

For our course in September, we are unable to provide our usual two course lunches as part of the course package. As such, we are offering a 10% discount to accommodate this. We ask that students either bring along a packed lunch or take advantage of the local pub up the road for lunch!
